Pre-Qualification Questionnaire is a form of due diligence that is conducted by a client ahead of any work being carried out by a subcontractor.
PQQ’s are often used in the construction industry, but are useful to conduct in any industry. The PQQ forms a key part in the assurance that the Principal Contractor has undertaken due diligence for the safety of the subcontractor and others for each project, even if they have worked together previously. A PQQ allows a mutual health & safety understanding between the two parties, so they agree and consent to the safety measures that must be implemented throughout the project.
Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) is a mutually recognised safety scheme used for occupational health and safety standards and is used mainly within construction industry. The SSIP is a health and safety audit of your company’s health and safety systems. Once a certificate is issued, the certificate is recognised nationwide by thousand’s of organisations.
Some SSIP schemes are CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS, Achilles and many more.
PQQs and SSIPs can be quite time consuming and laborious to do, but our team at Health and Safety Kent can cover this so you don’t have to. Our experience can guarantee that you have all ‘dots joined up’, covering all areas so nothing gets missed out, saving you time and money in the long run.
